(Bridgeport, Conn. – July 19, 2014) – The Bridgeport Bluefish (5-5, 27-53) were swept by the Somerset Patriots (6-4, 52-27), losing 4-0 in game one and 4-2 in game two during a day-night doubleheader at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard.

(Bridgeport, Conn. – July 18, 2014) – The Bridgeport Bluefish today announced the signing of outfielder Casper Wells. Wells joins the Bluefish for his Atlantic League debut during his ninth season of professional baseball.
“Casper is a very talented player that adds even more experience to our veteran ballclub,” says Bluefish manager Willie Upshaw. “He will be an important addition as we make our second half playoff push.”
