Bluefish Seeking Mascot Performer, On-Field Host, National Anthem Singers for 20th Anniversary Season

Audition to sing the National Anthem, perform as B.B. the Bluefish, or be our on-field host in 2017


(Bridgeport, Conn. – March 6, 2017) – The Bridgeport Bluefish are looking for mascot performers, on-field hosts, and National Anthem singers for the 2017 season. Staff members will be conducting open auditions prior to the start of the 2017 season.

Mascot and on-field host auditions will take place at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard on Saturday, April 1 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Those interested in auditioning to perform as our on-field host may download the registration form by clicking HERE. Ideal candidates for the on-field host position will be highly energetic, able to think on their toes, have a great sense of humor, and be comfortable being in front of large crowds. Ideal mascot performers will be athletic and have prior experience performing as a mascot. During the audition, candidates will be provided with a script and asked to simulate game situations.

The Bluefish will hold their annual National Anthem auditions on Saturday, April 15 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Auditions will take place at the Connecticut Post Mall in Milford on the first level by Macy’s. Those interested in performing the National Anthem at a Bluefish game during the 2017 season may download an audition registration form by clicking HERE.

During the audition, contestants will have the opportunity to sing the National Anthem once in front of a panel of judges. Performances will be held with a strict two-minute time limit. Soloists, groups, and instrumentalists are all invited to audition. Some of the areas of focus for the judges will be lyrical accuracy, voice quality, presentation, voice projection, time, and overall performance and talent.
