PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Incentive-Based: An incentive-based program designed to inspire children to read for enjoyment.
Child’s Progress: Track the reading progress of students through goals or “four bases” and reach home plate.
Requirements: The teacher or librarian determines the reading requirements for the students. This can include
number of pages read, minutes read or books read.
Rewards: The students will receive a complimentary ticket to a Bluefish game when they reach home plate!
STUDENT BENEFITS
Educational: Encourages students to read for enjoyment
Rewards: Students earn a game ticket if they reach their goal.
Reading Club Night: A “Reading Club Night” for your school at the ballpark that includes:
• On-field parade – A parade around the warning track celebrating the students’ reading success.
• Public Address announcement acknowledging your students achievements!
• Tickets – Each child receives a complimentary Reserved ticket for the game.
