Biography:
Paul makes is way to Bridgeport for his first season in the Atlantic League and fifth of professional baseball. Last year, the lefthander split time between Augusta (A, Giants) of the South Atlantic League and San Jose (A, Giants) of the California League. In 20 combined starts, he posted an 8-8 record with a 3.48 ERA and 122 strikeouts over 124 innings of work.
The 26-year-old made his professional debut in 2006 with Single-A Salem-Kaizer of the Northwest League. He spent four seasons in the Giants organization, reaching as high as Double-A in 2008 as a member of the Connecticut Defenders. In 84 career minor league appearances (54 starts), the California native owns a 3.70 ERA with a 23-17 record and 338 strikeouts in 367.2 innings pitched.
Paul was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 16th round of the 2006 amateur draft. |
