(Bridgeport, Conn. – October 14, 2014) - Bridgeport Bluefish team officials today announced the release of their schedule for the 2015 season.

The 2015 schedule will include 140 contests and features 70 home games at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard. The Bluefish will begin their season at home on Friday, April 24 with a special opening night game time of 5:35 p.m. against the Camden Riversharks as they start a six-game homestand against the Riversharks and Somerset Patriots. The home schedule includes eleven weekend series.

 

“We’re very excited about this year’s schedule and the upcoming 2015 season at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard,” says Bluefish General Manager Jamie Toole. “The organization is looking forward to putting together a competitive team, a great promotional schedule and continuing our tradition of affordable family entertainment, while providing our guests with the best Bluefish experience ever.”

 

For the majority of the season, Monday through Friday contests will start at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday games will begin at 6:05 p.m. New this year, Sunday tilts will be played at 1:35 p.m. from April through June and September and during July and August, Sunday games will begin at 5:35 p.m.

 

The Bluefish will host a trio of day/night doubleheaders during the upcoming season. On Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 31, the first game will start at 1:05 p.m. and the second contest will commence at 6:05 p.m. In the later part of the season, the ‘Fish play another twinbill on Wednesday, September 16 with game one beginning at 10:35 a.m. and game two starting at 7:05 p.m. Bridgeport will also host a special Memorial Day Game on Monday, May 25 at 1:35 p.m. and an Independence Day Game on Saturday, July 4 at 6:05 p.m.

 

The cross-sound rival Long Island Ducks make their first trip to the Park City on Tuesday, May 5 as Bridgeport will fight for the Ferry Cup against the visiting Flock. The defending Atlantic League Champion Lancaster Barnstormers will visit Harbor Yard for the first time on Wednesday, August 5. The ‘Fish wrap up the 2015 campaign with their final homestand at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard, which will be a seven-game set against the Somerset Patriots and Southern Maryland Blue Crabs from September 14-20.
