(Bridgeport, Conn. – September 17, 2014) – The Bridgeport Bluefish were recognized by the Bridgeport Regional Business Council (BRBC), as the organization won the 2014 Bridgeport Business in Bloom Award at the BRBC “Business After Hours” Event on Tuesday, September 16th.

 

The award recognizes businesses within the BRBC that have made an effort in making significant contributions to not only the town the business resides in, but to the surrounding communities in the region as well. The BRBC works with the towns of Bridgeport, Trumbull, and Stratford and recognizes businesses in those towns for their efforts.

 

“We are honored that the BRBC has recognized the Bridgeport Bluefish with the Business in Bloom award,” said Bluefish General Manager Jamie Toole. “We pride ourselves on reaching out to the community and are thrilled to be honored by our community leaders with this award.”

 

The Bridgeport Bluefish organization also received special recognition for winning the Bridgeport 2014 Business in Bloom award by The Honorable Jim Himes of the 4th Congressional District of Connecticut and from Thomas C. McCarthy, President of the Bridgeport City Council.
