Infield renovation project completed in preparation for 2015 season and Atlantic League All-Star Game

(Bridgeport, Conn – Nov. 3, 2014) – The Bridgeport Bluefish have begun getting ready for the upcoming 2015 season and Atlantic League All-Star Game by giving The Ballpark at Harbor Yard a makeover. The ballpark has a brand new playing surface, with renovations on the field having been completed. The project required the complete replacement of the entire infield, including the grass, dirt, warning track, and area around home plate. The installation of new sod will help keep the field in pristine condition all season long.

“Preparations for the 2015 All-Star Game are underway with this field renovation project,” said Bluefish general manager Jamie Toole. “The Bluefish take pride in representing the city of Bridgeport and these new renovations will give the stadium a professional atmosphere. This new playing surface will bring many smiles to the fans, players and staff.”
